Pride
Pride is one of the elements of pleasure needed by that shattered minds. However, this concept contains a lot more than a simple reaction to itself, and therefore possesses a certain directed power that can ignite consciousness.
Pride is a certain power directed at destroying something. People who follow this concept declare their willingness to destroy as they place themselves higher than something or someone.
Pride has a different meaning to knowledgeable men and to marginal men. It’s true that in both cases the concept of pride dwells at the border of conscious conflict, yet knowledgeable men simply have more opportunities to restrain themselves and say ‘stop!’
The danger for those who operate with this concept lies in the fact that it conceals their true attitude towards their surroundings. Here we can quote as an example the concept of ‘national pride’ that often conceals one’s uneducatedness and casts people into an existence tied to a number of theses, where all ideas appear in the forms of slogans, which in fact conceal the lack of understanding of the essence of things.
Therefore, pride is a screen that people use – depending on their intellect – for the accomplishment of certain external tasks.
